Description:
The newest addition to the Master Forge follows the Legolas 1/2 statue figure, Gandalf the Grey 1/2 figure and the Witch King of Angmar 1/2 figure. As a member of the Lord of the Rings expedition, Gimli was a fierce and resilient man who, in the course of the battle, formed a close friendship with the elf Legolas and became known as the Friend of the Elves. He escorted Frodo Baggins to destroy the Ring of Power and was a noble and stalwart warrior, using his battle axe as his weapon.
We will continue to release the Lord of the Rings 1/2 body statue series to resonate with Middle-earth.
Head sculpture:
In order to bring back the details of Gimli's image from the film, we have used platinum silicone to create the head.
The natural texture of the skin was carefully sculpted, complemented by vivid expressions, to bring out Gimli's bravery in battle.
In addition, tens of thousands of real hairs were hand-planted to bring back the iconic feature of the Golden Thunder - a messy red moustache.
Battle suit:
The outer layer of the armour is carefully cut from real fabric, with a leather belt and metal buckles.
The shoulders, arms and legs are covered in hard armour with detailed engraved surface patterns

We have hand-woven the inner layers of this armour from individual pieces of metal, with impeccable detail and texture.
Base:
We have carved the famous Book of Masabur into the stone structure of the floor, which chronicles the attempts of the Bahraini colonial forces to reclaim Murraya. This historical document lay dusty in the Mazabur chamber of Murraya, in front of the tomb of Bahrain, until it was discovered by the Ranger expedition.
Another of Kinley's battle axes, and the bones of the orcs, are placed on the floor to help bring the atmosphere back to the film
The spider webs that cover the floor are made of silk and can be decorated as you wish.
The base of the platform is decorated with a Dwarven motif, and the overall stylised design of the base adds to the characterisation of the statue.
Weapons:
Weapons are a warrior's best friend.
In the film, Gimli carries a number of battle axes with him.
For this reason we have created three of the film's battle axes for the 1/2 Goliath figure

The throwing axe can be easily switched between the hands and the waist, so you can mix and match as you wish.

Preordering allows you to guarantee purchasing a product. Preorders will have an estimated release date, once the item is delivered to us by the manufacturer we will ship your order as soon as possible - please be aware that although we give release estimates given to us by the manufacturers these are subject to change and can mean delays to release by weeks or even months. EU and International orders are sent complete once all items (including preorders, backorders and in stock items) are available. Please make separate orders if you would like items shipped at different times.
Please be aware that European and International orders may be subject to customs and import fees depending on the country’s import laws.
Most products that are preorders can either be paid in full or with a partial deposit. For partial deposits you will be charged the deposit amount shown, when the item(s) are available and the order is ready to be shipped we will contact by email with an invoice that will allow you to pay the remaining amount, which will be the price when the order was placed (even if the price has gone up between release we will charge the original 'Pay Now' price at the time of ordering) - we allow up to 14 days to pay the remaining balance of a preorder unless agreed otherwise by Hobby Figures. Preorders that are paid fully will be shipped immediately after the item(s) on the order arrive to us.
UK orders that have preorders with different release dates or with items that are currently in stock will be shipped separately as and when they are available. Worldwide orders will be shipped once all items are available
While we fulfil the vast majority of preorders occasionally cancellations for preorder products may occur due to manufacturer product cancellation (such as licensing issues) or due to stock allocations. Full refunds will be provided in the rare case we cannot fulfil item(s).
Cancellations
Products marked as a 'Preorder' are not eligible for refunds or cancellations. As preorders and backorders are a special request item we cannot accept cancellations or returns on these items unless the item is damaged or the wrong product is received, in the case where a deposit has been paid if the customer refuses to pay the remaining balance when the product(s) on the order arrive and are ready to be shipped then the customer will forfeit the deposit paid and product(s) on the order. By preordering an item you accept that the item cannot be returned unless agreed by us, please contact us at contact@hobbyfigures.co.uk if a defective or incorrect item is sent.
Please note that preorder delivery dates are estimated and may be subject to change due to manufacturer or shipping delays. Cancellations on preorder products are not permitted due to changing estimated dates unless there are excessive delays (1+ year) from the original ETA (confirmed on the order confirmation email sent after the order is placed).
